San Juan de los Terreros

When you come from the north of Spain the village of San Juan de los Terreros is the first coast town you see in Andalucia. ‘La puerta de Andalucia’ is proudly written o­n the signs at the road. The region is recognisable by the authentic Spanish atmosphere that you can’t find anymore at the overcrowded North coast of Spain. San Juan de los Terreros is a typical example of an Andalucian coast town. The people take the time for each other and enjoy there life and food at the coast. An atmosphere which expresses herself the names of the sandy beaches of San Juan de los Terreros; Costa Tranquila (The quit coast) Playa Serena (The serene beach) La Calica de Tía Antonia (The bay of aunt Antonia).

Terreros is a coast town which is still hidden from the mass tourism but where you can find all the services you need in the close surroundings; golf courses, shops, sport facilities and cultural cities as Granada, Lorca and Murcia which are more than worth a visit. Furthermore the international airports of Murcia and Almeria are just an hour away.

The climate

The climate of the Costa Calida and the Costa Almeria is more than good. Terreros is situated at the border of the Costa Almeria and the Costa Calida, in the southeast of Spain. A climate where the sun shines more than 300 days a year. The exceptional climate is also recognized by the World Health Association, which has recognized the climate of the Costa Calida as the healthiest climate of Europe.
